Dr. Eri Gesell
Dr. Gesell was born and raised in Michigan and has always had a deep love for animals. Growing up, she was actively involved in 4-H and spent years riding and showing Arabian horses—experiences that helped shape her path toward a career in veterinary medicine.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Forestry from Michigan State University and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. During vet school, she served as both SAVMA President and Class Vice President, and was honored with the 2025 Merck Academic Excellence Award for graduating at the top of her class.
Dr. Gesell is particularly passionate about surgery and is committed to providing clients with access to advanced, high-quality procedures as she continues to grow in the field. She also has strong interests in small animal dermatology and internal medicine. She is Fear Free Certified and a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA).
Dr. Gesell has been married to her husband since 2019 and they have one dog, Rya, and three cats. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and connecting with animals of all kinds.
